Plagiarism Policy
Jurnal Integrasi Multi Disiplin (JIMD) strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism. Authors must ensure that their submissions are entirely original and that any use of the work and/or words of others is appropriately cited.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
-
Copying text, ideas, images, or data from another source without proper acknowledgment
-
Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously (duplicate submission)
-
Republishing previously published work (self-plagiarism) without proper citation or justification
Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate, or similar tools) prior to the peer review process. The editorial team evaluates the similarity report and makes decisions as follows:
-
Similarity below 20% (excluding references and common phrases): acceptable
-
Similarity 20%–30%: requires revision and proper citation
-
Similarity above 30%: will be rejected or returned for major revision
Consequences of Plagiarism
If plagiarism is detected at any stage (before or after publication), the following actions may be taken:
-
Immediate rejection of the manuscript
-
Retraction of the published article (if already published)
-
Notification to the author's affiliated institution
-
Ban on future submissions from the author(s)
Author Responsibility
Authors are fully responsible for the content of their submissions and must ensure that:
-
All sources are properly cited
-
All co-authors are aware of and agree with the submission
-
The manuscript is free from academic misconduct
